The Department offers two year (semester wise) Master of Science and Ph.D. programme in different fields of Chemistry. |
Post-Graguate (M. Sc) Program:
The current student strength at M. Sc. level is 32.
The Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) for M.Sc. is also being introduced to our Department from August 2008. A full new Course has been constructed for the M.Sc. Programme in Chemistry along CBCS lines.

A major objective of the Department has been to focus research activities in the follwing areas:
- Chemistry of Surfactants
- Coordination & Organometallic Chemistry
- Organic Synthesis and Natural Product Chemistry
- Computational Chemistry
- Spectroscopy
