The department of sports facilitates sports activities to all the colleges affiliated to NEHU. The department organizes sports events in Shillong and Tura campuses. The events consists of Cricket, football, hockey, Boxing, Judo, Best Physicque, Weight-Lifting, Athletics, Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, basketball, VolleyBall for men and women. The department have four coaches of the events -- Cricket, BasketBall, Football and Athletics.

Lacrosse is currently the fastest growing sport in all of North America. It is also one of the most rapidly expanding sports in the world. New countries in Europe and Asia are constantly being added to the list of lacrosse playing nations. Click here for more..
